Many classes have been creating their class beliefs. These beliefs help to provide a foundation to the expectations students will use in their TEAMS and throughout the school. Time is spent to ensure students understand the beliefs and how they look, sound and feel in different contexts.
For example, a belief may be respect. In the classroom it feels safe, looks like people working together and helping each other and sounds like kind voices and positive words.
Some classes have also been working on MY REASON WHY! This involves students collaborating to create a painted picture together and then giving their reason why they are at school. The art work and quotes create a bulletin board in the school! More on this project soon. Michelle Howe facilitates this project at LWMS!
