Black Barracudas

Happy Summer to you all!
You made it through what will hopefully be the strangest year of school ever
.

Mrs. Poirier, Mrs. Ganzeveld, Ms. Woolnough, Mr. Filipski, Mrs. Boer and Mrs. Wallace have all loved getting to teach you this year and learn about virtual school with you this spring. Thank you for being patient with us as we figured out how to best connect with you from home. This time has been a great reminder that we never stop learning. It is difficult sometimes, but with some hard work and a lot kindness for yourself, you can learn new skills and find new ways to excel.

We have loved getting to know you all this year. We have missed you every day since spring break and can’t wait to see you all and hear your stories in September. Have fun and be safe this summer.

Welcome Parents and Students of the grade 6/7 classes. On this page you will find our team’s Week At a Glance (WAG) schedule.

The WAG is a daily breakdown of assignments and home learning opportunities provided by Mrs. Poirier and Mrs. Ganzeveld. It includes numeracy and literacy activities as well as a variety of applied skills or arts activities.

GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) Opportunities

Miss Clinaz and Ms. Holt would like to open up a GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) TEAMS group.  A GSA is a student-led, school-based club that aims to provide a safe environment in the school for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, as well as their straight allies. This would be a private and closed group held online where any student can go to hang out virtually with other like minded students. Anything that is shared will stay in the group as confidentiality will be our top priority.  If you have any questions or would like to join please email kclinaz@sd83.bc.ca or dholt@sd83.bc.ca. Take care and stay safe Extreme Team!
