A Great First Few Days!

During our first two days of school, we focused on connecting with our students and having time to explore, reflect and process all the changes due to the pandemic. Teachers showed a power point to the students which reviewed in detail all the information in our September Routines Plan. Students practiced the routines. STUDENTS ARE DOING AMAZING WITH ALL THE CHANGES!
As well, students viewed a Welcome Back Assembly in their class. It was interactive and allowed students time to name the challenges we are facing. The assembly invited the students, to share challenges and connect with their classmates to develop support and to hopefully start to help TAME the worries.
Our focus is to support the return of students to re-engage and to focus on relationship building. As well, our goal is to restore school activities with necessary safety modifications. Students made hashtags to remind each other what is important now!
Please know that all the preparation you did with your child has made all the difference! The students have done exceptionally well. We are so proud of all of us. Together we are strong! Thank you for being such a caring and committed LWMS Extreme commUNITY!
