LWMS has had a set of wheelchairs in the gym for the last 3 weeks! Laura Paiement, our district’s Healthy Schools Coordinator, provided lessons to each class from November 1-3 on the visiting set of wheelchairs. Teachers incorportated the adapted lessons in their PE class. Teachers also have access to Rick Hansen’s lesson materials for further exploration of the topic
Both students and staff enjoyed the opportunity to experience the adapted wheelchair unit. The wheelchairs move to another school at the end of this week. Here are a few photos!
